Cobra Trap
Instant — Trap
If a noncreature permanent under your control was destroyed this turn by a spell or ability an opponent controlled, you may pay rather than pay Cobra Trap's mana cost.
Put four 1/1 green Snake creature tokens onto the battlefield.

3> Ahhh I've been wanting to play with Obosh, the Preypiercer and Angrath's Marauders - glad you found a spot for them. While you're at it, you could also consider other "damage doublers" such as Wound Reflection and Fiendish Duo. I've thought about a Vial-Smasher deck with a White partner just to add Gisela, Blade of Goldnight.
3> I see you enjoy big monsters and X-spells here. Oh to be young again... but seriously, this seems like a good deck to play them in as you would be rewarded. Instants are your friend, as you can Smash Vials on everyone's turn! No Comet Storm?
3> I would be worried about Vial-Smasher getting nuked from orbit as soon as your turn passes and it's no longer indestructible. You'll find Heroic Intervention and Slippery Bogbonder will help with targeted Exile removal. You already have Destroy and Sacrifice covered I see.
3> I see some cost-reduced and commander-free spells in there, but you have a limited suite. While doing research for my thoughts on Vial-Smasher, I found the following might be helpful - list is just copy/paste, so it will include some White and/or Blue cards:
- 3- Offalsnout (evoke B)
- 3- Rushwood Legate (opponent control island)
- 4- Skyshroud Cutter (control forest, opponents gain life)

m_to_the_three on You Just Activated My Trap Card!

It is your call, just any card that seems to be under performing or just doesnt synergize well. Im usually not a fan of Defense of the Heart just because it a very slow tutor, cause even if you meet the requirements when you play it you still got to wait a whole turn and that can easily get destroyed by single target removal or boardwipe. Gift of Doom also seems a bit meh to me but that's just because I don't see indestructible being that strong. It is your call at the end cause you been playing and testing this deck out so if both these cards turned out to be really powerful and synergize well then keep em.
If ya want more trap cards, Summoning Trap and Cobra Trap seem to synergize with your deck.
BTW if ya need more tutors Natural Order and Tooth and Nail are pretty amazing green creature tutors. Also if ya dont mind sacing your stuff Diabolic Intent is pretty much demonic tutor but you got to sac something first.

This is sweet! I think that Cobra Trap doesn't actually synergize here, unless I'm misunderstanding something. Also I would say that Dash Hopes could be some other form of removal like Assassin's Trophy or Abrupt Decay or more Fatal Pushs. I also think Jol could go to a 3-of.
Looks so cool!

Hi,
Some suggestions from us:
- Serpent Generator : a golden oldie!
- Cobra Trap : revenge against those who would kill your snakes!
- Lotus Cobra : helps out your ramping.
Have fun brewing the deck!
Regards,

Prowling Serpopard is handy for obvious reasons. Maybe float a Cobra Trap and a Triumph of the Hordes too.
mrdehring on Home Alone with Thantis

I always find that my Thantis, the Warweaver deck ran into issue of not being able to play defense and my creature getting killed in combat so I did a few things to fix that. I like all the walls as a way to keep you from attacking but when you do have to attack there are a few cards that help you survive. Akroma's Memorial is amazing. Bow of Nylea usually means they don't get blocked by the bigger creatures. Dolmen Gate and Stonehoof Chieftain make them survive combat anyway. Sight of the Scalelords may also work to make your creatures stay back on defense.
As for fun cards to add, I really enjoy my Assault Suit in this deck and Vaevictis Asmadi, the Dire is great removal and a fun political card.
I know you want to get attacked so you can play "traps" to stay on flavor so Nemesis Trap , Slingbow Trap , and Stone Idol Trap seem to fit. You may also think about Baloth Cage Trap , Cobra Trap and Needlebite Trap .
As an additional comment I will mention that if you need to stop getting attacked No Mercy and Dread keep people away.

Thanks for all the suggestions capshanks01
Edric, Spymaster of Trest has it's own deck and I don't have enough unblockable / evasion Maybe Bident of Thassa because it won't help my opponents.
Cutting cards like Avenger of Zendikar Myr Battlesphere Hornet Queen seems like a bad idea because they give me many experience counters and/or blockers. But worst for me seems to get less experience counters.
Cobra Trap is 1 mana most of the games
Deadeye Navigator can abuse most of my ETB's like the high cmc token makers. Getting four Myr Tokens for just 1{U} seems pretty solid. Or two cards with Mulldrifter
Fertilid was cut in my last deck change. Too slow, too much mana. Getting two lands for 7 or 1 for 5 mana is just not good. Even if it's a creature. And if I have nothing to do with ezuri than putting counters on fertilid something went wrong.
Fauna Shaman discarding doesn't seem that good without recursion. And getting a creature is good Protean Hulk or Sage of Hours but revealing is a huge downside in my opinion.
Fungal Sprouting looks good, but I don't think 4mana for most times 1-3 Saproling is that great. Also it is sorcery speed, that can be very slow. And not sure when to cast. First mainphase I will get less counters because ezuri hasn't put counters on something yet. Second mainphase I will get more saprolings because Ezuri could put something before this card. But the amount he puts on a creature is lower. (I have this Problem with many cards in this deck to be honest)
Wirewood Symbiote I don't run that many elves...maybe okay to run.
Spike Feeder doesn't seem useful. Getting life instead of smacking faces/killing People
There is nearly no targeted removal, you are right. I just need a day of and rebuilt this deck completly :( But takes time:D
That's all. I see the Problem, but bounce isn't the answer.
Broodhatch Nantuko I wanted a second morph, so my playgroup always knows what's under the morph. And even getting only 2+ tokens out seems okay.
Glimmer of Genius is Instant speed, seeing up to 4 cards isn't bad. And if you don't scry away, the cards you get are good. And I may play an Aether Hub so it may be more useful. What draw spells would you play rather?
Fact or Fiction Instant speed, worst case getting only one card I really need, with the option to get up to 5 cards. (Since politcs is a thing in my group there is a high chance of getting 4 or even 5 cards). Same for here, what would you play rather? Needs to be instant!
Lightning Greaves yep had this Problem, thought of Neurok Stealthsuit because for {U}{U} it's Instant and I can remove it, by putting it on anything Else
Panharmonicon won't be in here. It's an really great card, but not in this deck.
Now to the more positive part :D
Sakura-Tribe Scout seems good, especially if I build more draw into this deck.
Snake Basket never heard of this card before. Seems pretty solid in my opinion!
Spellskite oh hell yes I need this card.
Glen Elendra Archmage if I get one, I totally play this wonderful piece of cardboard.
Inkmoth Nexus would be solid, but Infect isn't really my strategy. Blighted Agent has the unblockable thing, that's why he is in. If I ever trade an Inkmoth, he will have a place in this deck.
Shrieking Drake at first I thought this card is weak. Than I realized that he can bounce himself (I assume that's what you wanted to say) :D getting experience for just {U} seems broken. I need this immediatly! And if bounce one of my high cmc token dudes to replay them? Even better.
All in all I need to build this deck from zero, and I need to be sure what tactic I'm playing. I need to get cards that I don't have right now. That takes time/money. And then I need time to brew. You can always suggest more, I try to answer fast. But it while take a while to get everything, but I'll Update as soon as I can!
Thanks a Lot for all this help
MEWLIO on Ezuri, infinite, counters, card draw

Ok. You definitely need more lands. 35 at the minimum, but I recommend 38. So you need to take out a lot of cards. Think about what you're going for. A +1/+1 counter strategy? Synergy? Lots of little creatures? Then start taking out cards that don't fit the key themes you want in your deck. I know its hard, but it'll make the deck much better. For example, if you want +1/+1 counters and synergy with those, then Bident of Thassa and Bounty of the Luxa might not be that good. What i might do is just make a list of what IN MY OPINION is jank and should go. Take it with a grain of salt if you want, but its probably for the best (if you want the reasoning behind any of these please ask me, I can't write it down for every card). Animation Module, Bident of Thassa, Lifecrafter's Bestiary, Snakeform, Plasm Capture, Negate, Mirror Match, Cobra Trap, Bounty of the Luxa, From Beyond, Urban Evolution, Whirler Rogue, Viridian Corrupter, Thelonite Hermit, Patagia Viper, Altered Ego, Overrun. All those I would Definitely take out and replace with lands, then there are a bunch more which I could see the value, and they could be really cool, but I ultimately would have to cut. These are cards like Forgotten Ancient, Managorger Hydra and Kalonian Hydra. But I would test these cards before cutting them. You also have A LOT of ramp. Cultivate, Kodama's Reach, Elvish Mystic ect. Maybe a little less ramp? I dunno, but these are my thoughts.
