This is a combo-based deck, using 2 card creature combos and Lazav's ability to swing in for lethal commander damage once the right cards are in the graveyard. The go-to combos are:

Ornithopter + Crackdown Construct: Activate Lazav's ability to turn into the Construct, then stack infinite triggers of transforming into Ornithopter. This results in infinite power and toughness on a flier, swinging in for commander damage.

Wall of Blood + Banehound + Some unblockable creature: Swing in with Lazav as something unblockable, turn into the Wall before damage, pay life to pump for 20, then turn into Banehound afterward to regain the life.

Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage: This is more of a backup plan, in case you just can't get the other two to work.

If all of these combos fail, Consuming aberration is a more typical win condition, though it lacks evasion.

The plan in the early game is to play as many looting effects as you can, to dig through your deck for transmute cards. Then transmute up buried alive, toss in your combo creatures of choice, then swing in with Lazav once you have counterspell backup.
