lalalalala on blue black eldrazi deck ( need help )

I have made an eldrazi deck if you want to check that out but if you don't feel like checking it out here are some tips. Eldrazi Mimic is a really good card in eldrazi decks and I run 4 of it in mine. Conduit of Ruin is also a really good card for finding your big eldrazi and gives you some mana reduction but don't run 4 in your deck, I would only run 2-3. Idk how you feel about taking out black from the deck but I did in my deck and it has worked out. I would change black to green and put in 4 Blisterpod and 3-4 Call the Scions or maybe 1-2 From Beyond Those are all cheapish cards for your deck. If you are okay with spending a lot of money I would get Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger or Kozilek, the Great Distortion or Reality Smasher And finally I would take out Eldrazi Skyspawner and Cultivator Drone if you are fine with taking cards out.

The answer is... kinda.

As mentioned above, spells with devoid (such as Cultivator Drone ) would qualify.

Additionally, in theory if a spell's cost involved BOTH a AND a coloured mana symbol (eg ) then you would also be able to use the Cultivator's ability to cast it. That said, AFAIK there is currently no such spell.

Usually, if a card has a in its mana cost then it's a blue card and a blue spell (and obviously therefore not colourless). Some cards have the Devoid ability, which means that they're colourless despite the fact that is has blue in its cost.

Cultivator Drone 's mana, if spent to cast a spell, can only be spent on a colourless spell (which includes Devoid spells). So any regular colourless spell, or yeah, a card like Cultivator Drone itself. It can still only be spent on generic costs or specifically colourless costs in that spell's costs though.

if a spells casting cost contains a color, that spell is colored and therefore not colorless, meaning you can't cast it with Cultivator Drone . the only exception are spells with devoid.

Must the permanent spell that I pay with colorless mana from Cultivator Drone contain only colorless mana or is 2U or 1G or whatever you have fine?

I like some of the tutors you're running. Somewhat a different suite from my animar deck. I forget that Neoform and Eldritch Evolution exist haha

I'd suggest Tidespout Tyrant for redundancy with Cloudstone Curio. The triple blue is scary but I run it in two decks and it puts in work. Temur Sabertooth too. Fabricate might be worth it to snag a few of your wincons. Birthing Pod goes with your sac tutors

Not sure what to take out. I love eldrazi. Oblivion Sower is my favorite w Animar. Cultivator Drone might be your most mehh. Collector Ouphe hurts a few of your things. I assume you see a lot of countermagic with Prowling Serpopard in the list(?)

TypicalTimmy - Honestly, I'd be extremely confused, as it is a huge break of the colour pie. Mono-Blue does not generate coloured mana, with the three exceptions of: (1) Ceta Disciple , which requires Green to use the mana ability; (2) Sea Scryer , which only produces , and, further, is an older card, from an era where the colour pie was not as important as it is today, and (3) Vedalken Engineer , which is limited to artifacts. Further, all of Blue's mana generation is on permanents, not instant spells.

Modern Mono-Blue cards tend to generate , and this mana is often restricted in some way, such as with Curious Homunculus  ^Flip, Cultivator Drone , or Renowned Weaponsmith .

Properly, your card probably should involve both Red and Green. Green tends to be the colour of Colour fixing, while Red tends to be the colour of instant speed mana generation. Which, at this point, we've just reinvented Manamorphose .

If we wanted to do a Blue-inspired colour fixing instant, we'd still want the Red element, as Red gives us access to instant-speed mana generation. Something like:
