Enchant artifact

Whenever enchanted artifact becomes tapped or a player plays an activated ability of enchanted artifact without Tap in its activation cost, Artifact Possession deals 2 damage to that artifact's controller.

Alright. After looking through, I have a few ideas. 1. Instead of stealing other’s artifacts for 4+ mana, perhaps running things like Abrade , Artifact Possession , Copy Artifact , or Bedevil to either create copies of other’s artifacts, or destroy them with more options than what you currently have.

  1. Mana fixing Drowned Catacomb , Dragonskull Summit , Watery Grave , Command Tower , Arcane Signet , Grixis Obelisk, and Grixis Panorama would all help in your ability to cast Bolas on curve.
  2. Holding off the other players.

Wrath of God , Vraska's Contempt , Bontu's Last Reckoning , Cast Down , and Cavalier of Night all keep the board clear while you set up for the victory!

  1. Creatures. Zahid, Djinn of the Lamp , Wall of Stone , Norritt , Chainwhip Cyclops , and Vraska's Finisher are all bad cards. I suggest cards like Nicol Bolas, the Ravager  Flip, Sheoldred, Whispering One , Notion Thief , Archfiend of Depravity , and Massacre Girl could be more beneficial than the current ones you have.

Yes--I think black having its own distinct feel and mechanic is important. I do not foresee Wizards abandoning life loss as a fundamental component of Black's identity.

Also, I take issue with your statement of "dealt damage in the past, but always when draining life": Artifact Possession, Choking Sands, Corpse Lunge, Curse Artifact, Curse of Thirst, Cursed Land, Dakmor Plague, Dead Reckoning, Desolation, Dry Spell, Evincar's Justice, Famine, Festering Evil (I think this is sufficient to prove my point, but I'm only at the letter F and there would be a lot more to copy and paste).

If you want more cruel control for your opponents, I'd recommend these cards (I put them in any B cruel control):

Artifact Possession, Contaminated Ground, Corrupted Roots, and Pooling Venom. Tinker with the amounts for these, but use them possibly with a boost from Icy Manipulator and/or Mana Web.

I have seen a Legacy deck that runs these solely (plus 0/1 walls with regenerate) and they win from all the damage dealt through this.

Just a suggestion that you may wanna look into or tinker with. Hope ya like it!

Yes, it's ALL land damage and it's quite effective.Your opponent will either begrudgingly tap their lands to do something and/or you'll tap them for them. Either way, damage and frustration abounds.

I added the Artifact Possession to lock them down even more and gives you something else to tap for damage.

The creatures are only in the deck to hold your opponents creatures at bay until the job is done.
