You should play some combination of Molten Echoes and Flameshadow Conjuring, also could also play Zoyawa's Justice, Industrial Advancement and Descendant's fury.

But really, the secret of Zirilian is Repercussion. Play that with blasphemous act: anyone with 3 or more creatures just dies. Or play it with any dragon that deals global damage, such as Thunder Dragon or, god forbid, Balefire Dragon.

If you're using Zirilan to get Worldgorger, just float 5 mana and cast Apocalypse. GG.

Things like Tel-Jilad Stylus are too slow. You don't usually have enough turns in a game to run out of dragons. If you want to keep the dragon you have in play, use Sword of Hearth and Home, Sundial of the Infinite, Voyager Staff, Dragon Mask, Tawnos's Coffin, Cold Storage, Conjurer's Closet.

RiotRunner789 on Favorite EDH Cards

My favorite card is Grave Pact but that isn't quite niche. I don't seem to have as many oddball fun cards that I tend to play but there are a few oddball or less played ones at least.

Black: Koskun Falls is a favorite of mine. I prefer decks that do not attack, so the tapping is not a big downside. Tainted Remedy because it makes opponent's creatures with lifelink funny. Gift of Doom which doesn't use the stack when morphing which has come in handy more than once. Pestilence is one of my favorite black board wipes which typically is on my board with an indestructible creature. Dystopia since at least someone is playing Selesnya.

White: Peacekeeper because no means no. Aura of Silence use to be more niche but has seen some prominent reprints. Solid removal with a tax effect has tripped up more than one opponent. Mandate of Peace is a great fog and a counter spell in some situations. Underplayed.

Green: Hall of Gemstone for any monogreen deck. Had a blue player try to win on my endstep and about 5 minutes into their combo, I asked where there blue mana was coming from.

Orzhov: Batwing Brume has killed a few Kranko players for me and saved me several times.

Colorless: Null Brooch is just Isochron Scepter with Negate already attached. Arena of the Ancients is great for when my commander doesn't need to tap, or attack, or is played after this and has vigilance. Great card no one expects.

Red: Apocalypse or Jokulhaups for the hard reset. Stranglehold because blue players are the worst and tutoring takes too long.

Blue: Mana Vortex for the slow decent into hell.

Last_Laugh - Welcome back!

Apocalypse works if I sacrifice Marchesa and any other creatures with counters first, then cast it. I liked it better because it truly wipes the board, there mana will leave the pool, then I'll end the turn with a board full of creatures to attack.

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to playtest. I'll spare the details but life has just become too busy. I do have them proxied in the deck though! I'm trying to get together with some friends this weekend though so hopefully we'll see then.

Why Apocalypse? It exiles so Marchesa won't bring your creatures back. I think Jokulhaups is the card/effect you're after although it doesn't touch enchantments, planeswalkers, or hands.

Also, have you proxied or playtested Danny Pink, Uncivil Unrest, or Plumb the Forbidden yet? Those first 2 are REALLY impactful and depending on your meta, the 3rd one can be. It's been a minute, so I figured I'd ask.

indieinside on Barren Glory and Planeswalker Emblems

Barren Glory is the win condition in my Super-friends deck. I just got to thinking about it and I have a question about Barren Glory triggering if there are Emblems on the table?

My removal cards are Apocalypse and Worldfire.

During your opponent's end step, right before your turn begins, cast Borne Upon a Wind (or start with Leyline of Anticipation in play). Flash-cast Barren Glory first, hold priority, and cast Apocalypse. (You do have just casually lying around, right?) Apocalypse resolves, emptying the battlefield and removing your hand. Barren Glory resolves and enters the battlefield.

As your turn starts and Barren Glory triggers on your upkeep, it checks that you control no permanents and have no hand (both true, thanks to Apocalypse). Since its conditions are met, it fully resolves and you win the game.

Apocalypse + Barren Glory + Borne Upon a Wind

There are several like it and EDHREC says it works but it doesnt make any sense to me.

Thanks Profet93. About Apocalypse you got it right, basically if you cast it with an Annihilator one suspended it's gg, while with something able to refill your hand like Recurring Insight it can reset the game, useful if you are in a bad situation
