Malakir Rebirth

Instant

Choose target creature. You lose 2 life. Until end of turn, that creature gains "When this creature dies, return it to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control." (Dying is being put into the graveyard from the battlefield. Tokens cease to exist when they leave the battlefield and thus can't be returned.)

I'm not sure if Teysa would even want a friend, but Michiko Konda, Truth Seeker is a bit of a kindred, maybe they could hang for tea?

If you want people to attack a lot there is Angel's Trumpet, very handy that your Spirits have flying! Exquisite Blood is a combo piece, but it's also a strong card on it's own, it synergizes with your Commander very powerfully I'd say, if people come at you their creature's die, and if they go at each other then you gain life. Breena, the Demagogue can be used to make your stuff better. Shadrix Silverquill has a really good interaction with your Commander, if you give someone an Inkling and they come at you it dies and you get a 1/1, and if you give your board +1 counters twice than your 1/1s clobber inklings. I would run Transmogrifying Wand over Murder, it's 4 mana for the first creature but only 1 more for the next 2. You could also try something like Reckless Spite. I am a big fan of True Conviction, very good with a big token army.

It's a pretty janky card but I often enjoy using Axis of Mortality in White decks that are trying to stay on budget, you can punish or reward people as you see fit, it's a very strong political effect, and if people are losing creatures to your ability to lower your life total (while giving you evasive attackers) then you're probably gaining ground.

It's up to you obviously if you don't want to run more lands, but have you thought about including some MDFCs? I use Hagra Mauling  Flip and am happy to see it now and then, ETB tapped lands aren't great, but if the spell effect is also a playable effect their value is incredible. I'm sure you could find a use for Malakir Rebirth  Flip too, though that is less budget.

In the time that I've played Commander I've come to the conclusion that one of the hallmarks of a good deck is card draw, especially low to the ground effects. Stuff like Sign in Blood and Night's Whisper are very good in practice, there are also things like Village Rites, Corrupted Conviction, Plumb the Forbidden, and Reckoner's Bargain, these are all handy with your tokens, but also if you can't protect your Commander and they're getting blown up anyways, this can also prevent effects like Oubliette from working (which can be VERY helpful if your deck depends on your Commander, you might want a couple in the deck in case). If you think your tokens might stay 1/1s, or that you can get them to die with consistency then Skullclamp draws a lot of cards. Stinging Study draws a whopping 7 cards in this deck, for only 5 mana, I'd say that'd be handy late game.

I love how intensely Faerie-centric this is! =D One of the best I've seen... my only concern would be hitting your 4-drop on-tempo with that Land Count... maybe replace a couple with equivalent MDFC (lands on back)? eg. Overflowing Insight < Sea Gate Restoration  Flip (Glasspool Mimic  Flip - Malakir Rebirth  Flip - Agadeem's Awakening  Flip would be the others) Cheers mate, nice deck!

Deserted Temple - Untap coffers + politics

Crypt of Agadeem - Ramp

Ancient Tomb - Ramp

Reliquary Tower - Utility for all your draw

Cover of Darkness - Evasion, maybe in place of filth? Unsure.

Thrilling Encore - Since your deck goes wide, this can help you recover after a wipe. Alternatively, you can steal opposing creatures as well.

Malakir Rebirth  Flip/Feign Death/Supernatural Stamina - In response to removal on your commander, brings it back and trigger it's ETB again.

Imp's Mischief - While typically not seen as much in go wide decks, its my pet card so I want to recommend it. It can "counter" counterspells, and redirect targeted removal, draw and extra turns.

feeling suspicious of Bartolome del Presidio and Gift of Immortality, are they just for suntitan combo? you have way less support for combos so it seems hard to assemble and those 2 pieces alone are kinda mid. 3 blood artists, 2 free sacs, 2 enchantments, and 1 sunny T seems tough to get a combo assembled w/ no tutors, so leaning into cards that are only good with your sun titan seems iffy to me.

Scorn-Blade Berserker seems like an alesha holdover

Resourceful Defense seems win-more

Ratadrabik of Urborg is questionable to me, i feel like you're mostly not saccing legends, but instead saccing your fodder

Alharu, Solemn Ritualist is a lil expensive as you have 16x token generators and I feel like that's your sac fodder.

ever 2 or less color black deck luvs Nihil Spellbomb

You might enjoy some combination of the Feign Death, Malakir Rebirth  Flip, Not Dead After All, Undying Malice effects

OK got you, that helps me. To stay on theme, Pact of the Serpent for card draw?

Is Coat of Arms appropriate for your theme or is it too winmore for your taste?

Perhaps a Murderous Rider > Murder? While not a rat, it is more flexible and even has a creature mode than can be used for your sacrifice spells. It also hits PW

Deserted Temple - Untap coffers and politics?

Malakir Rebirth  Flip - To bring back your commander/bypass commander tax while getting another ETB value out of him. Imagine the leader of the horde rising from the dead if oyu will

Would a Skullclamp be out of the question?

I hope the suggestions I'm giving aren't too mainstream and apologize in advance if they are.

No worries at all, Profet93! Had a great weekend and hope you did as well!

I definitely appreciate the feedback and valuable insight. I'm giving some thought to Teferi's Time Twist and Malakir Rebirth  Flip, though at this point it's even tougher to decide what to take out...the toughest part of deckbuilding haha

I had another thought, have you considered adding an instant that exiles your creature and returns it back to the battlefield such as Teferi's Time Twist? While white usually capitalizes those types of effects, black has something like Malakir Rebirth  Flip which is also a land. This allows provides synergy with your commander and about 7 other creatures. If mystic remora doesn't end up working for you, you could swap that out or even potentially Great Unclean One.

EDIT: Perhaps a MImic Vat to abuse ETB's, mess with opposing GY and overall fun with function.

Hey, I really enjoy your Kaalia deck but, one thing I noticed, you don’t have a lot of ways to protect Kaalia while she is on the board. A few cards I run in my personal Kaalia deck to help with this are: Galadriel's Dismissal, Teferi's Protection, Mithril Coat, Sephara, Sky's Blade, Earnest Fellowship, Malakir Rebirth  Flip and, Sejiri Shelter  Flip.

Both Teferi’s Protection and Gladriel’s Dismissal basically do the same job of not just protecting Kaalia but your entire board from spot removal and mass removal. Gladriel’s Dismissal also has the two added bonuses of in a pinch just being able to protect Kaalia or using it on your opponent to remove all their blockers for a turn. Mithril Coat is more niche but, has protected Kaalia a few times from targeted removal spells. What I like about the coat is I can play it at instant speed so I can possibly bait an opponent into waisting one of their removal spells on Kaalia. Sephara, Sky’s Blade is a slightly worse Avacyn, Angel of Hope which you are already running. Earnest Fellowship is a card I find a lot of people sleep on. At first glance the enchantment does not look like it would do that much but with it out you’re giving Kaalia protection from the three most prominent removal colors. I have had this card in my Kaalia deck for years and I have lost count how many times an opponent has went to cast a removal spell on Kaalia only to realize that they can’t because Kaalia has protection from it. Lastly, both MDFCs should almost be an auto include because they only things they are replacing is a basic plains and swamp.

I see you run a lot more spot removal then I personally do in my Kaalia deck which is not a bad thing I have just found it is not as necessary. Instead, I focus more on mass removal because, I have found in most games getting rid of one or two cards on the battlefield does not help me when I am behind. However, resetting the board when the table has shut me down helps me out immensely allowing me to claw back into the game.

A few mass removal cards I would consider are Damn, Farewell, Crux of Fate, and Scourge of Kher Ridges. Damn is just an upgraded version of Damnation because it has the flexibility to be spot removal or mass removal. Farewell is arguably the best removal spell in the format because outside of Planeswalkers it can deal with anything making it so versatile plus as an added bonus it exiles instead of destroys. Crux of Fate is unique because your deck is already running a ton of dragons so why not possibly save your board of dragons while you clear everything else out of your way? Speaking of dragons, I stumbled upon Scourge of Kher Ridges awhile back and man has this card impressed me so much. You cheat it into play with Kaalia then for you get to do 2 damage to all creatures without flying! Best thing is you can activate the ability as soon as Scourge hits the table. As long as Scourge is out you are able to shut down all non-flying creatures. Plus 99% of the creatures in your deck have flying so you don’t have to worry about any of your creatures taking damage.

Sorry if this was a longer than normal post. Overall, I really like the direction you took your Kaalia deck.
