I also like helping people out with their decks if I have some time on my hands. Feel free to ask me for help if you run similar commanders as I do. However, I see a lot of new deck builders out there that fall into the same basic deck-building pitfalls:
1. Running too few lands
2. Running too few ramp cards
3. Running too few carddraw cards
4. Not having a focussed idea on what they want their deck to be about
If that is you, check out the resources below :D.
- You already are on Tappedout, so that is a good start :). Browse other decks here for inspiration, or use the search engine to find popular builds of your commander.
- This is an old introduction article to the format, but I still think it is still awesome (Just ignore the stuff about tucking. That no longer works).
- A great youtube video by the command zone about how to build a good and fun EDH deck. If you play EDH and you haven't watched this yet, I highly recommend you do.
- Check out the EDHREC database to see what other people play that run your commander.
- Check out the search engine Scryfall to easily find cards.
- Use Commander Spellbook to search for combos.
