This is my first attempt at a Sultai murktide tempo deck. Instead of the typical Dragon's Rage Channeler which allows you to quickly filter the top of your library and create a big threat, this is replaced by Grim Flayer, which although is weaker in some ways, dodges some removal such as Lightning Bolt and Unholy Heat.
Although it may seem that Murktide Regent and Tarmogoyf are strong anti-synergy, with access to easy ways to fill the graveyards with cards of specific types, such as artifacts from Mishra's Bauble and looting with Jace, Vryn's Prodigy
mean that the graveyard always has things in it, even after delving four or five cards for Murktide Regent.
this deck ideally wants to use fetch lands and hand disruption (Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek) turn 1, along with a Mishra's Bauble to play a threat on turn 2 (Grim Flayer or Tarmogoyf). Then quickly building the graveyard with Consider to play a turn three Murktide reagent with 4 +1/+1 counters to dodge Unholy Heat.
The sideboard of this deck aims to beat other graveyard decks with Leyline of the Void, artifacts with Hurkyl's Recall, and opposing Murktide Regents with Assassin's Trophy.
This list is still a work in progress, but cards I've thought about include Endurance, Liliana of the Veil, and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. I am unsure what to cut for them. With the testing I've done, I could possibly cut to 18 lands from 19 but that's not enough spots to warrant playing one ofs.
