The thing is JTMS can bounce every creature as instant once you combo off.

Will you be updating the deck list anytime soon? im not sure what other cards would help from the new sets!

Portis321 I reached out to sigi over twitter and he says nothing from MH1/ELD impresses him enough to be worth a slot in the deck.

I think Mirrormade is nice as a second copy artifact that also hits enchantments and I do run some MH1 cards in my build, but I do see why Sigi made no changes.

Can you help me understand why the pain lands are necessary other than boosting the price?

They allow for deck thinning. It's like using the lands as cantrips.

so im curious what your take is on adding folio of fancies? if teferi keeps untapping it you can mill all your opponents and then just untap it and make everyone draw one card and you win. Not sure if this is good with this deck or not?

It seems like this should swap Fellwar Stone for Arcane Signet

Any thoughts on lotus field? Seems decent here. Downside would be having it in hand and unable to meet the etb, but having an additional tap for 3 seems good.

xEth0sx I ran into a CVT deck tonight that used Lotus Field. Seems like another powerful way to get big mana untaps for comboing. Plays nicely with Winter Orb, but doesn't agree with Back to Basics. It will cause lower starting hand quality due to entering tapped as well as requiring two other lands, but you're going to see better performance with heavier stax build as well as against other stax builds except B2B and Moon effects. In my opinion its certainly worth a consider, and its going to perform better against other midrange or late game decks.

I actually play this deck with a different strategy in mind. I run a lot of stax till I can generate infinite mana - using wincons like:

Laboratory Maniac

Jace, Wielder of Mysteries

Blue Sun's Zenith

I'm surprised this deck isn't running Thassa's Oracle.

T.O. seems like a slam dunk here at almost any juncture of the game, whether it's for early game scrying, as a wincon (after establishing the win from Chain Veil), or even as pitching fodder for Chrome Mox or Force of Will.

Concurrently, Force of Negation and Fierce Guardianship seem like no-brainers here too. Any reason why they're not in here?

How about Lithoform Engine for infinite mana with teferi and for generating value?

Yes that should technically work. Amazing they would even print such a busted card.
