Rules Q&A
Dauthi Mindripper
Creature — Dauthi Minion
Shadow (This creature can block or be blocked by only creatures with shadow.)
Whenever Dauthi Mindripper attacks and isn't blocked, you may sacrifice it. If you do, defending player discards three cards.

ignore the 3.3K price of your deck I'm working on, that was a good competitive one and I'm taking the other 1 and merging then gonna see where to perfectly mana flow it and see what needs to be done, I did find 2 very mean cards

Words of Waste, Pain Magnification, Liliana's Specter, Noxious Toad (oracle text is each opponent discards), and Burglar Rat all work well here.
I personally run Marchesa, the Black Rose at the helm of my Grixis discard deck so that ETB/Death triggers are abuseable and reusable. It also opens up Oona's Blackguard, Sadistic Hypnotist, Dauthi Mindripper, and a few other discard options.
Feel free to check out my list for ideas. It's not budget friendly as a whole but it should still help out a ton. Upvotes on any of my decks are appreciated. Hand Hate Marchesa

Based on the original wording (along with current rules), you could sacrifice after Dauthi Mindripper had dealt damage because there is a an End of Combat step. This is how the Reconnaissance trick works.
Unfortunately, the Mindripper has been errata-ed to have a very different effect. The second ability is now a triggered ability, which triggers after blockers have been declared and it is not blocked. Then and only then, can you sacrifice it to it's ability.
Always double check the errata of cards (particularly older ones). Even cards that are only a few sets old get errata-ed, let alone cards from the early days.
Hope this helps!!

Can Dauthi Mindripper be sacrificed after he's dealt combat damage during the end of combat step? I'm thinking it can for the same reason Reconnaissance works but I wanted to ask.
