True-Name Nemesis + Pariah's Shield

would this create an interaction where all damage dealt to you would redirect to true-name and essential fizzle because it would have protection from the damage dealer?

Damage cannot fizzle. Fizzling is when a spell or ability is countered on resolution for having zero remaining legal targets.

You are correct, though. True-Name Nemesis 's protection would prevent any incoming damage from sources the chosen opponent controls.
