Torpor orb + nyxathid

With Torpor Orb in play, how does Nyxathid react ? Will I no longer need to choose a player making my creature a 7/7?

Actually, as I understand it, Nyxathid is not affected by Torpor Orb as Nyxathid's ETB ability is not a triggered ability but is instead a static ability that creates a replacement effect for how Nyxathid enters the battlefield. This is denoted by the ability beginning with "As..." instead of "When/Whenever...".

So Nyxathid still requires you to choose an opponent and will still gain -1/-1 for each card in that opponent's hand.
