snow lands with Shimmer

say i have a Shimmer out and name island. both me and my opponent have islands, but i have snow-covered islands. do my islands still phase out?

Yes. Shimmer works on all lands with the type you chose. A Snow-Covered Island has the Island land type. So does a Tundra, a Breeding Pool, and a Moonring Island. If you choose Island for Shimmer then all of these things will have phasing.

Yes, a Snow-Covered Island is still a Basic Snow Land Island. Shimmer is an ability that's looking to include something not exclude, so it doesn't care what other types or text are on the land just that it has Island on it.
