Savra and Priest of Forgotten Gods

Asked by Stalker93 1 year ago

Hey there!

I have a doubt regarding the interaction between Savra, Queen of the Golgari and Priest of Forgotten Gods. If I activate Priest's ability and I sacrifice 2 creatures while I have Savra in play, does Savra's ability trigger twice since I sacrificed 2 creatures? For example, if I sacrifice 2 green creatures with Priest's ability while I control Savra, may I win 4 life? If I sacrifice 2 black creatures may I pay 4 life so that my opponent sacrifices 2 creatures? If I sacrifice two green and black creatures may I win 4 life and pay 4 life so that my opponent sacrifices 2 creatures?

Thank you!

You can use double square brackets around a card's name to create a reference link/pop-up. It's the best way to help make sure everyone understands what's going on in your question: Savra, Queen of the Golgari, Priest of Forgotten Gods

Yes, this works. Savra's ability is written in a way that makes it trigger for each black and/or green creature you sacrifice. If you sacrifice multiple creatures at once then it will trigger separately for each one. If Savra was only meant to trigger once for multiple things being sacrificed then it would be written to say "Whenever you sacrifice one or more (black/green) creatures..." instead.

Stalker93: An answer to your question has been up for a while. Since there don't seem to be any follow-ups or corrections to be made, I marked it as the "Accepted answer" so this topic can move out of the list of unanswered questions. In the future you can take care of this yourself using the "Mark as Answer" button on the response that you feel best answers your question.

I try to avoid selecting my own response when I do this, but in this case it was the only option.
