Remand vs Rebound ability?

Let's say my opponent casts Virulent Swipe and exiles it. At the beginning of his next upkeep, he decides to cast it again from exile.

Can I counter the rebounded Virulent Swipe with Remand? If so, will Virulent Swipe be put into it's owner's hand?

Yes, you can. Casting a spell from a zone other than the hand is still casting the spell. It will go from the exile zone to the stack, waiting to resolve until all players have passed priority.

When you Remand the spell, it will return to its owners hand.
