Quirion Ranger possible multi use

Asked by fadelightningmm 8 years ago

I was curious if with Quirion Ranger if I bounce with say Temur Sabertooth can I recast it to bounce a forest and untap a creature a second time?

I'm not sure if this follows the same precedent that Oracle of Mul Daya has where if you play your land off oracle bounce oracle, and recast you cant play a new land

Yes you can, this is because Quirion Ranger once bounced back to your hand and recast, is for all intents and purposes is a new creature.

Whenever an object changes zones, it becomes a new object with no memory of or relation to its previous existence in any zone. The Quirion Ranger in your hand is a different Quirion Ranger from the one that used to be on the battlefield, and the one that you put onto the battlefield will be different still from both of those. Therefore, the clause that states you may only activate Quirion Ranger's ability once each turn will not see any previous activations.
