metallic mimic and zombies

Hello, I am wondering exactly how Metallic Mimic and zombie resurrection would work, when it enters the field it becomes the creature type, in this case zombie, would it still retain that zombie status when it left the battlefield so that it could be resurrected by either Relentless Dead or Lord of the Undead? or once it dies, it loses that chosen type altogether?

It won't still be a zombie. When something moves from one zone to another, the game treats it as a new object with no relation to what it was before. There are a few exceptions to this, needed to make certain things in the game work properly, but they don't apply in this situation.
