Infect+fight?

My opponents Phyrexian Crusader and my Advocate of the Beast are on the battlefield, I played Time to Feed what happens now?
My opponent argues that infect will happen first/simultaneously, dealing damage to my creature and I not being able to deal damage because of infect making my creature a 0/1 as the fight happens.
I believe that both creatures get delt their respective damage at the same time, and the result leaves my creature as a 0/1 and his taking the 2 damage, enough to kill it.
What happens when a creature wit infect goes against a regular creature? Does my creature get to do his damage? Or is the infect taking affect first? Someone please clear this all up

The damage is dealt simultaneously. Because of that, your Advocate of the Beast will deal 2 damage. It could only do less if fighting caused one creature to deal damage first, which isn't the case.
Phyrexian Crusader will die and Advocate of the Beast will be left as a 0/1.
