Glacial Chasm

Does Glacial Chasm prevent life loss as well as damage or only damage?

Rulings on the Gatherer only discuss its ETB effect and not this specific issue.

My thought process is, the card doesn't say it specifically so no it does not since damage and life loss are not the same thing in most instances that deal with this specifically.

For exact card use purposes only lets say: Glacial Chasm is in play and I cast Ad Nauseam

As far as I know the only thing in the game which prevents direct "loss of life" from effects like Ad Nauseam 's is Platinum Emperion .
