Getting around Hexproof (Leyline of Sanctity)

Asked by IlLupo643 4 years ago

Hello! Quick question about the stack and how I can abuse it. Scenario: My opponent has Leyline of Sanctity and I have Ral, Storm Conduit, can I use Ral's -2 to copy say, Blink of an Eye , use the copy as it resolves first to bounce the Leyline and then go nuts on the original blink with Expansion/Explosion? With available mana of course.

In short, can I get back into the stack after clearing the leyline but before the stack is empty? (Sorrry for missing links, Something's going askew here....)

Everything on the stack resolves one at a time, never all at once. When the topmost object on the stack resolves, another round of priority is passed before the next object resolves, giving players a chance to put something new on the stack. This repeats until the stack is empty.

Ral, Storm Conduit , Expansion / Explosion

You will regain priority after the copied Blink of an Eye resolves, during which you may cast Instants or activate abilities that don't have timing restrictions preventing you from doing so. This means that yes, you may bounce your opponent's Leyline, then target them while the original Blink of an Eye is still on the stack.
