Does Death's Shadow activate Grave Pact if you have more than 13 life?

Let's say I have 18 life and a Grave Pact in play, and I cast Death's Shadow. Does that activate Grave Pact?

Yes. Death's Shadow will enter the battlefield as a -5/-5 and die because it has 0 or less toughness. It still was on the battlefield for some length of time and will trigger both ETB effects and on-death effects like Grave Pact

Note that only activated abilities can be activated, and that activation is a manual process.

Triggered abilities trigger, and they do so automatically when a certain condition is true.
