Does Adarkar Valkyrie allow for infinite sacs?

Asked by AkrosTheClear 6 years ago

I am putting together an Ayli, The Eternal Pilgrim deck and found the card Adarkar Valkyrie. Am I right in assuming that if I tap Adarkar Valkyrie targeting, let's say, Doomed Traveler, then I sac it with Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim's first ability it will come back, I will gain a life, then I can do it again and again as many times as I can afford to until the end of the turn? If so, does Adarkar Valkyrie goes infinite with any sac outlet?

No.

When the Doomed Traveler goes to the graveyard and comes back the game treats it as a new object and Adarkar Valkyrie's ability no longer effects it.

Any time a game object changes zones (battlefield, graveyard, hand, exile, etc.) the game treats it as an entirely new object with no memory of what happened to it in the previous zone. If you want to make Adarkar Valkyrie go infinite, you have to find a way to reactivate it after the creature returns to the battlefield (usually by returning a creature that can untap it as an ETB).
