Do power/toughness boosts affect creatures in the graveyard?

Alright, let's say that I have a Beastmaster Ascension with seven quest counters on the field and a Slitherhead in the graveyard. If I use the Slitherhead's Scavenge ability to put counters on a Drudge Beetle (or anything), would the Beastmaster Ascension cause the Slitherhead to give 6 +1/+1 counters or would it still only give 1?

If something references a card type or subtype with saying "card" or "spell" it only applies to permanents of that type on the battlefield. [TYPE] card references a card in the library, hand, graveyard, or exile. [TYPE] spell references a card on the stack.

Slitherhead would still only scavenge for 1.
