Curie and cloning clones

If I control a Phyrexian Metamorph cloning an Archon of Cruelty and I activate Curie, Emergent Intelligence exiling said Metamorph, what happens?
Doesn't exiling the Metamorph remove its cloned properties?

Curie, Emergent Intelligence is copying the attributes of the creature at the time of the last instance it was in play as, Curie’s ability resolves. It doesn’t matter what properties Phyrexian Metamorph has while it’s in exile.

Curie will effectively be an Archon of Cruelty that’s additionally an artifact and has "Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, draw cards equal to its base power."
When Phyrexian Metamorph is in the battlefield, all it has is the characteristics of whatever it copied (+ it's an artifact) the regular Phyrexian Metamorph characteristics aren't copiable anymore.
