Can I draw my deck before discarding with Faithless Looting?

Asked by Indigoindigo 8 years ago

Example:
My mono red deck gets infinite mana with Mana Geyser + Reiterate. I need to search my deck for my infinite damage-combo-pieces (Myr Turbine+Dross Scorpion+Goblin Bombardment).

Can I cast Faithless Looting, draw two and copy the spell with Reiterate before the "Discard two cards"-clause goes on the stack (effectively drawing my deck before having to discard)?

No. Once a spell or ability has begun to resolve no player gets priority until after it has completely finished resolving. If you want to Reiterate a spell, you have to do so while it's on the stack, before it starts to resolve.

To clarify, when you cast a spell the entire thing is put onto the stack; it's not broken up into clauses.
