Can I deflect deathtouch?

Opponent swings at me with Vampire Nighthawk and a Paragon of Open Graves . I have 1 Deflecting Palm . Can I deflect the (now) 3/4 Nighthawk's deathtouch and kill it only doing 3 damage to itself? or would it be more wise to take out the Paragon, knowing that I an kill it.

Also, Deflecting Palm deals the damage to the source's controller- your opponent.

Deflecting Palm states that the prevented damage is dealt to the source's controller instead. You don't get to choose where the damage goes.
Also, deathtouch has no effect on whether damage can be redirected or prevented.

Deflecting Palm prevents Vampire Nighthawk 's damage. Thus, the damage will not be from Vampire Nighthawk and will not be "deathtouchy" for lack of a better term. If you redirected the damage, like with Palisade Giant , the damage would still be "deathtouchy" since the source is Vampire Nighthawk .
