Another random question. Sakura-Tribe Elder and Path to Exile

If Sakura-Tribe Elder is targeted by Path to Exile and I sacrifice it in response, do I get the land from Sakura and path?

You will only get a land from the elder. The path will be countered as a state-based action for having an illegal (non-existent) target.

@merrowMania: Path to Exile is not countered by state-based actions. It is countered by the game rules on resolution. SBAs don't check as a spell resolves, and they don't check for illegal targets.
