New Information on Vorinclex

Today Wizards released an article called 'The Legends of Kaldheim' giving small bits of lore on each legend in the set. One of these included Vorinclex. This is what was said about him:

"Why Vorinclex arrived in Kaldheim is currently unknown, but the purposes are certainly nefarious. The method he used to travel between planes is also a mystery. Vorinclex's organic parts were destroyed in the journey, leaving only metal and bone. An inquisitive stag sniffing around his remains was enough raw material to begin crafting a new body, and Vorinclex slowly made his way up the forest food chain until he had created a form he found satisfactory."

This is significant in that it follows the same formula that Rashmi, Eternities Crafter's (now Tezzeret, Master of the Bridge's) interplanar portal works - not allowing organic material to pass through. This means one of two things:

1.) This is how all interplanar portals now work post mending.

2.) Tezzeret is now helping the Phyrexians.

I am inclined to go with 1 because when Vorinclex escapes from Kaya, he jumped into metal. Assuming this is the method by which he came to Kaldhiem, it is very different that Tezzeret's planar bridge.

Thoughts?

That's definitely how every planar portal works post mending. IIRC, Jiang Yanggu transports Mowu by turning him into stone, because otherwise the blind eternities would kill him. So i think that's just how the blind eternities work now, killing any nonplaneswalker that travels.

Still, I'm not gonna rule out the actual planar bridge. I'm not entirely sure what happened to tezzeret in war of the spark, but I feel he's probably going to stay relevant.

I think the last we saw Tezzeret, he had left misleading trail for Planeswalkers to follow across the multiverse and then covertly went back to Ravnica where it was revealed that he is working with Lazav on something mysterious but decidedly ominous/nefarious.

And Lazav is a shapeshifter, so idk how that affects his relations with the Phyrexians who are seeking the perfect being.

DeinoReborn as evidenced by Phyrexian Metamorph, they already like to employ shapeshifters amongst their ranks.

And I feel like Phyrexian long term invasion planning works well with a Dimir based scheming alignment as well.

Massacar i figured it was something like that, and i definitely agree, i wonder if the praetors will learn to get along this time?

DeinoReborn honestly I doubt it, (aside from Urabrask) most of their personalities seemed too dominant to cooperate effectively.

My big hope is that out of all the internal faction bickering somehow Yawgmoth will be reincarnated through the glistening oil (since his consciousness became a part of the oil when he bound himself to the original Phyrexia) and become a big bad again.

Massacar Yawgmoth's return would certainly be glorious, however that might be a bit more stale. I'd rather see one of the praetor's (Elesh Norn, of course) ascend to a level of power comparable to Yawgmoth.

EleshNornsFs I totally thought you were team Urabrask. Who knew?

Personally if I am going to back a Praetor, while I know Elesh Norn is positioned far better to take control, I am on team Sheoldred. She is out there somewhere, and I think she's going to do something spicy.

Jin Gitaxias all the way. But i totally thought that EleshNornsFs would be a diehard Vorinclex supporter.

What if the Phyrexians were "gifted" a portal or somehow developed one and as a test just kinda shoved Vorinclex through.

Seems like the kind of dick move Jin Gintaxias would pull since we know it doesn't like Vorinclex at all.
