Is there a way to make a perfect shield?

Are there permanents that could all be in play that would make a player immune to everything?

Moved to the forums because this isn't so much a rules question as it is a hypothetical "how would I" discussion.

Solitary Confinement in legacy enchantress is the closest you are going to get to that IMO.

I think it is something along the lines of Avacyn, Angel of Hope + Leyline of Sanctity + Platinum Angel + Greater Auramancy + Dovescape. I think there is an easier way, but I have no idea.

Technically yes.. Solitary Confinement + Honden of Seeing Winds + Avacyn, Angel of Hope + Privileged Position + Sterling Grove + Tajuru Preserver + Phyrexian Unlife + Worship

Would make you damn hard to touch.

But a well timed Merciless Eviction can royally screw you over.

Add Dovescape to my list and you are golden.

I don't actually think you can do it fully. Although giving yourself hexproof, resistance to saccing creatures/permanents, indestructible and a Platinum Angel is pretty close.

Dovescape+Lightmine Field would be funny.

Somewhere in here you need a Pariah to also prevent getting beat in the face.

Or just play Knowledge Pool + Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir to lock everyone else. ;)

An alternate lock is Mycosynth Lattice + Null Rod

Rule of Law Form of the Dragon Possibility Storm somewhat accomplishes this task by never allowing any spells to be played while burning people out to ensure you win

Kederekt Leviathan makes things difficult.

Mycosynth Lattice, Nevinyrral's Disk and Darksteel Forge destroys all permanents including lands that you don't control. Making it nearly impossible for an opponent to come back.

Really the only way possible is through resource denial/hard locking opponents. As Raging_Squiggle stated, plays that stop opponents from casting spells combined with something like Blazing Archon are really your only option.

Becuase at the end of the day, no matter how much you pillow fort up, no matter how many things you drop in the way, unless you're locking payers out of casting spells, Boseiju, Who Shelters All + Cyclonic Rift is a swift kick to the nuts of ALL the progress that you made.

Ain't that the truth. "The best defense is a good offense."

I know that there are some very effective cruel control that would accomplish the same feat. I have a Winter Orb deck that shuts down everything. I mean Curse of Exhaustion + Erayo, Soratami Ascendant is a hard lock that can't be beaten.

I guess what I was really trying to accomplish is a "my side of the board" invisibility combo. One that is not reliant on instant or sorcery spells to be played from hand (counter spells, etc).

Some of these above get close... Make a defense that does not shut down or control what your opponent plays and still makes you invincible!?

If you don't shut your opponent down, there's still always Merciless Eviction and/or Final Judgement do get rid of whatever is making you invulnerable.

Or even a well-placed Council's Judgment.
