What are Fun Non-Legendary Cards to Build Around?

I've always been enamored with secret commander decks. Whether it's Riku of Two Reflections Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer or Sisay, Weatherlight Captain Winota, I've always loved to give a card more colors then it has. But as of late, I've been wanting to build around some other cards and these are the ones that've caught my eye. For reference, I'm planning on using Esika, God of the Tree Flipas my General.
Paradox Haze : Hoo boy, this synergizes with everything. The Force Cycle , As Foretold , The Bringer Cycle , hell, you can use Starfield of Nyx to make Paradox Haze a creature and go ham with Progenitor Mimic or Followed Footsteps .
Divine Visitation : This is one of the more broken ones you could do. Any creature tokens you create become Serra Angels . Tendershoot Dryad ? That's one Serra Angel per turn. Darien, King of Kjeldor ? That's potentially 30 Serra Angels per game. The list goes on.
So what about you? What do you want to build around?

I love stacks-type effects that change the game to a certain degree. Teferi's Puzzle Box is probably at the top-end of how much I want to change the game...anything more than that gets to be less fun in my mind. An example of too much would be Possibility Storm or Thieves' Auction . Adding damage to normally-mundane things, like Psychogenic Probe is more my speed, because it keeps the game moving. My torture deck is probably the best example of “I have a commander, but the rest of the deck is more the point.” Let people try to win by doing what they planned on doing, but don’t let it linger so here’s a Havoc Festival to speed it up.

griffstick: Just run Akiri, Line-Slinger and Falthis, Shadowcat Familiar as your commanders.
I have an Inniaz, the Gale Force deck and Coveted Jewel is a central piece to the deck. I get it on the field and give it away on my attack trigger, then take it back, untap it, and draw 3 cards when I deal combat damage.
Different commanders can utilize different cards to different degrees and I like figuring out different ways to use cards.

griffstick would Odric, Lunarch Marshal plus some double strike and deathtouch creatures work? I know the there’s at least one other creature with that ability. It would take a few pieces to get what you’re wanting but it could work.

I have a Riku Warp World deck that wins off of infinite warp world casts. Pretty fun casual deck.

Some artifacts in monored, that can be reasonably tutored with Goblin Engineer :
Liquimetal Coating : Combine with artifact removal, maybe Viashino Heretic , Goblin Tinkerer , Hellkite Tyrant and so on
Chaos Wand : let fate decide
Mycosynth Lattice : it's Liquimetal Coating Maxi

For me I've always played around with the idea of building a deck around first strike or double strike, deathtouch, and Vigilance. Meaning I can swing with my creatures and block with my creatures, and for as long as my opponents creatures dont have first strike or double strike or indestructible. I will win the combat step everytime. But there is not a card that does this. Ankle Shanker is the closest I've come.
