Crazy Damage Story

Ok, so I felt obligated to share this story from last night... feel free to share similar experiences.

Long story short, I had 8,388,608 power on 1 creature in my Isshin, Two Heavens as One deck and Devilish Valet is stupid.

I had Isshin, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin (w/6 counters), Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, and had just played Devilish Valet. I swing w/ Krenko at 1 opponent and the Valet at another opponent w/ like 80 life and a nice pillow fort (3rd was neutered already at this point). Krenko spits out 17 tokens and Adeline spits out 6 (all tokens I can at first opponent including a bunch I already had). This triggered Valet 23 times. 1x2=2 2×2=4 4×2=8 and so on 23 times totaling 8,388,608 power on a trampler. 2 opponents died and the 3rd scooped after scraping his jaw off the floor.

Isshin - Army of Darkness if anyone is interested in the list.

When I first started playing MTG, I had a deck that ran Heroes' Bane whom I had ETB with 4x +1/+1 counters, who I then subsequently doubled 18 times to turn it into a 1,048,576/1,048,576.

And then I cast a Predator's Rapport.

I've cast Exponential Growth on a Nyxbloom Ancient for X=43, killing a player in combat and using Ram Through to kill another. Though I can't say the table really bothered to calculate 5*(2^43) and just assumed it was lethal '^^

(It's 43,980,465,111,040 and our assumption was right, for who's wondering :P)

You guys are truly crazy players. I would be scared to play against your decks.

This isn't a damage story I dished out, per se, but the damage dealt unto me.

I had a buddy, Abe, who ran a 5c Morph Dragon deck. You know, like Shieldhide Dragon and Stormwing Dragon. Real nasty business. My other friend, Ian, was running some sort of Grixis Vampire tribal. Really big Vamps and really big Dragons in play.

And then there's me, the annoying prick that I am, running Karametra flicker with a lifegain element to it. I had all of the creatures that gain you life whenever they, or something else, ETB. Basically Soul Sisters on steroids. Then I had every conceivable flicker means in the deck, allowing me to crank out the numbers like I was an accountant hiding money.

I eventually got to something stupid like 181 life. Ian would swing full blast and knock me down by like 30, and then Abe would unleash his arsenal and bring me down another 40 or 50. I'd drop from the 180s down to like 100 or 90, and then my turn I'd be back up into the 210s.

They literally, full force, could not deal enough damage to stop me. I had plenty of means to win, too. With them fully attacking, I could chip them away with my army of 1/1s and 2/2s, but I was having far too much fun.

We did the math and realized, based on my land tutors thanks to Karametra, I'd actually deck myself out if I kept playing that way. So with a laugh and a sigh, I conceded.

Immediately afterwards Ian took one hit from Abe and realized he's dead next turn, so he too conceded. So Abe won.

Sometimes winning means losing, while having fun <3

I do feel obligated to share this video if we're talking about silly amounts of damage.
