Potential Deck Changes —May 5, 2019
I looked back at this deck recently and I've thought some more about it, and I've decided there are some cards I want to cut. None of this is final, and suggestions are welcome as always, but here's a very rough version of what I could theoretically change about this deck.
Potential cuts: Garna, the Bloodflame; Grief Tyrant; Grim Poppet; Kaervek the Merciless; Into the Core; Grixis Panorama; Rocky Tar Pit; Reliquary Tower; Leyline of Punishment; Rain of Gore; Cauldron of Souls; Rakdos Keyrune
Potential new additions: Urabrask the Hidden; Rakdos Locket; Rakdos Cluestone; Hero's Downfall; Puncture Blast; Volt Charge; Scar; Puncture Bolt; Blur of Blades; Bedevil; Soul-Scar Mage; Ashnod's Altar; Goblin Bombardment; Heartstone; Solemn Simulacrum; Sudden Spoiling; Burnished Hart; Crypt Ghast; Splendid Agony; Starstorm; Decree of Pain; Abrade; Shatterstorm; Shattering Spree; Unstable Obelisk; Meteor Golem; Arcane Lighthouse; Grasping Dunes
Again, none of this is final, but these are my thoughts as of now.

I love the overall idea. Mine is very new and rough around the edges (haven't even picked up a sol ring for it yet) but I tried to put in some options to make the death triggers happen more quickly that you might want to think about. Things like Deathbringer Thoctar and Archetype of Finality. If you are curious about my list this is it. http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/the-scorpion-gods-sting-2/ but I think the archetype would be perfect with Warstorm Surge, Everlasting Torment, and Nest of Scarabs. Sick combo. Also a big fan of Necropede and Core Prowler for creature options and Puncture Blast and Volt Charge for red counters as a whole.

Nice deck, I have a Scorpion God too, haven't built a commander around him but this is a great idea! Only suggestion I have is this: Maybe Urabrask the Hidden to get your creatures attacking sooner and force the enemy creatures into play tapped?

I'd change Torment of Venom to Torment of Hailfire. It's slightly better since you can cause multiple triggers if you have the mana just sitting there. Vandalblast is a great way to destroy artifacts in Red. Those were a couple of things i think would help make this deck better! Thanks for your help!
