A twist on your standard Grand Arbiter Augustin IV deck.

Either win by controlling the board and hiding yourself with a pillow fort, then killing your enemies with your big fliers.

Or doing the Heliod, Sun-Crowned + Walking Ballista combo.

Maybeboard cards will go into the deck once I've obtained them. (MtG is expensive...)

The Mana Base / Ramp and Mana Fixers:

• Flooded Strand, Hallowed Fountain, Adarkar Wastes, Deserted Beach, Glacial Fortress, Nimbus Maze, Port Town, Prairie Stream and Sea of Clouds are the dual lands.

• We have a few flying man-lands too, in the form of Celestial Colonnade and Restless Anchorage.

• Hall of Heliod's Generosity and Academy Ruins give us a nice bit of enchantment/artifact recursion.

• I'm a sucker for LotR, and card advantage, so that's why we have Minas Tirith.

• I think we have enough white mana symbols in the deck to involve a Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx.

• Island and Plains, duh... Absolutely MUST be Zendikar full art lands. Chef's Kiss

• We get plenty of ramp from Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, and Watcher of the Spheres chips in to make our expensive fliers a little cheaper too.

• Sol Ring. Next...

• Command Tower and Commander's Sphere give us any colours we need, useful in any multi-coloured commander deck.

• Land Tax and Archaeomancer's Map let us get more basics.

• Smothering Tithe, "Are you going to pay for that card you just drew...?".

The Pillowfort / Control:

Alot of these cards will make your friends hate you, but who cares?! You're an azorius control player...

• Archangel of Tithes, Ghostly Prison, Propaganda and Windborn Muse forces others to pay to attack us...

• ... while Firemane Commando and Suppressor Skyguard incentivises others to attack an opponent.

• Grand Abolisher and Teferi, Time Raveler make our opponents shut up during our turn.

• Archon of Emeria, Thalia, Heretic Cathar and Authority of the Consuls makes our opponents stuff enter tapped. We aren't trying to play too much ourselves, so Archon isn't much of a hamper on us.

• Drannith Magistrate, Aven Interrupter and Farewell give us a little graveyard hate incase we need it. Also worth mentioning, Drannith Magistrate prevents others from playing their commanders...

• Along with the previously mentioned pillowfort cards, we have some taxers in the form of Aura of Silence and of course, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV.

• Aven Mindcensor is a nice little tricky birdy when our opponents ever want to use a tutor.

• Our control creatures/planeswalkers are rounded up by Narset, Parter of Veils (Draw control), Linvala, Keeper of Silence (Combo wrecker) and Lavinia, Azorius Renegade (Anti-cascade), which each have their unique control aspects.

Interaction:

• Cyclonic Rift, Terminus, Day of Judgment, Farewell, Single Combat, Supreme Verdict, Wrath of God and Time Wipe are the resident board wipes. Yes, there are a lot. This decks biggest weakness is aggro, especially if we don't get our pillowfort cards out at the beginning of the game.

• Path to Exile is a staple for spot removal, so it makes the list.

• Aura of Silence and Heliod's Intervention give us spot artifact/enchantment removal.

• Generous Gift removes anything... Even lands!

• For counter magic we have Counterspell, Swan Song, An Offer You Can't Refuse, Permission Denied, Arcane Denial and Dovin's Veto. You could count Aven Interrupter in here too.

• When all else fails we have Galadriel's Dismissal to phase out with. (Yes, Teferi's Protection is better... I'll get one of these, one day...)

Card Advantage:

• Consecrated Sphinx is an absolute bomb, so much card draw.

• Battle Angels of Tyr and Firemane Commando have some conditional card draw too. Dragonlord Ojutai has a free built in Anticipate after combat damage to a player, which is also great.

• Dig Through Time, Preordain, Sphinx's Revelation and Narset, Parter of Veils each let us dig a little further to get what we need.

• We have Commander's Sphere and Minas Tirith too, just in case.

• Of course we need tutors... So we've got Idyllic Tutor, Mystical Tutor, Fabricate, Trinket Mage and Enlightened Tutor.

• Rhystic Study... One day... Drooling intensifies

(Everything Else...):

• Serra Paragon and Snapcaster Mage both give us a bit of recursion in their own ways.

• Lastly, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Sephara, Sky's Blade, Lightning Greaves and Mithril Coat provide our creatures with some protection.
