I'm reviving this deck and seeing how well it runs. I have made some updates to it, so please check it out if you haven't in a while. I will be updating the description to reflect the recent changes.

One question I do have, however, is are the 13 walkers I chose a good number for a superfriends deck? I beefed it up with lots of boardwipes and control to go along with them, but I feel like that may be a little light. If I should add any, which ones? (I have almost every grixis walker out there, so feel free to leave suggestions)

I hope you know creatures can attack planeswalkers directly.

i thought you might wanna read this cause glacial charm will kill you in 6 turns.702.22. Cumulative Upkeep

702.22a. Cumulative upkeep is a triggered ability that imposes an increasing cost on a permanent. Cumulative upkeep [cost] means, "At the beginning of your upkeep, if this permanent is on the battlefield, put an age counter on this permanent. Then you may pay [cost] for each age counter on it. If you dont, sacrifice it." If [cost] has choices associated with it, each choice is made separately for each age counter, then either the entire set of costs is paid, or none of them is paid. Partial payments arent allowed.

Of course I know planeswalkers can be attacked, hence all of the control cards.

Also, with Crucible of Worlds, you would only take 2 damage every other turn from the chasm. I usually won't play it unless I was a way to win or have the crucible.

Glacial Chasm doesn't prevent planeswalkers from burn damage. The damage would be dealt to the planeswalker, not you.

Any direct non-combat damage dealt to a player may be redirected to a planeswalker they control. If the damage is prevented from the player, such as by Glacial Chasm, then the damage will not be able to be redirected to the planeswalker.

So, with Glacial Chasm, my planeswalkers can't be Lightning Bolted or Comet Stormed.

The only burn that they can be targeted by are new cards that specify that they can target planeswalkers.

And there are only 2 cards that deal direct damage to planeswalkers, so I feel like the safety it brings makes it worth running.

Okay, we're both half right. I looked it up and both the damage redirection and damage prevention replacement effects affect the damage. So, you can chose the order of the effects so that you prevent the damage, then it is redirected (or you could redirect damage before preventing if you really wanted to damage your walker), thus preventing damage.

Have you considered Dragonlord Silumgar ? I feel he could be a very strong card in this deck

Interesting. I just opened a Dragonlord Silumgar, but was planning to make him a commander. If I were to put him in here, any idea what I might be able to cut?

Well, I would probably cut Incite Rebellion only because, its how many creatures they control, so if they have a deck like yours with little creatures, it aint going to do shit, pretty much I feel if its isnt a token deck, 6 mana to do like a roughly strong estimate of 5 or less damage most of the time isnt worth it for 6, it isnt bad but I feel Dragonlord Silumgar could do work for you. I play a Avacyn, Angel of Hope mass boardwipe deck, so you could just jack Avacyn, Angel of Hope, or could steal other cards such as another Liliana of the Veil from someone, have 2 sacrifices you know all that fancy shit.

Portcullis is just as good as Lethal Vapors if not better

Lhurgyof says... #16

True enough. The only worry is that they come back after the Portcullis leaves. I could probably make room for both. The fact that it can be found by either Tezzeret is a plus too.
