Preliminary Tuning, Creature Considerations —Dec. 21, 2017

Graveyard Explorers approach is looking more and more likely. Some cursory goldfishing has revealed that more creatures is likely the way to go, as without any creatures in the deck Nissa, Steward of Elements is useless half the time.

So Primal Amulet  Flip is out, Baral, Chief of Compliance is in.

Supreme Will is out, Ramunap Excavator is in. I've always had a weird relationship with counterspells, and seeing Supreme Will in my hand just made me mildly uncomfortable.

Fatal Push is in, as I realized I could sac a land with Ipnu Rivulet to trigger its Revolt effect as needed.

I'm strongly considering other creature options as well. With Ramunap Excavator now in, I'm less excited about total graveyard wipes, so something like Deadeye Tracker might be a much better include, as it would also help with draws. ETB creatures in general - I've seen a few creatures out there with ETB Explore.

Finding a space for Rogue Refiner could get a lot of value out of Nissa's +0, becoming both a creature and a card draw.

I'm half tempted to replace Compelling Argument with Seer of the Last Tomorrow, even. Assuming Ramunap Excavator on the field I could simply discard a land and then play it from my graveyard. More creatures also makes Navigator's Ruin a very possible include.
