Thrumming stone, shadowborn apostles, and tendrils of agony, do they work together?
Asked by humanbean 9 years ago
If I play Thrumming Stone and then play Shadowborn Apostle , does that allow me to play every single other apostle in my deck? If yes, does this add to storm count, allowing me to Tendrils of Agony for a lot?

Sort of. You have to resolve the ripple effect and if you hit a Shadowborn Apostle then you will cast it and repeat the process. It is possible to "fizzle" if you find a spot where there are four cards in a row that aren't named Shadowborn Apostle .
Yes you could Tendrils of Agony for a lot. When you play a spell you cast it increase the storm count by 1.

@lordoftheshadows: To "fizzle" is to be countered by game rules for having zero remaining legal targets. Thrumming Stone 's ability doesn't target, so it can't fizzle.

@Epochalyptik I know which is why there are quotes around the word. Having said that it is magic vernacular to describe a combo that fails to go of as having fizzled.

I think the term you mean is 'Whiff'
ie play Jeleva, Nephalia's Scourge and turn over either all land and/or creatures, would be to whiff

The revealed cards can be cast with the ripple ability, meaning that you are casting spells. This will increase your storm count.
